| About Me | A job placement counselor until 1991 and then an Institutional Review Board Administrator until 2010, I taught English as a Second Language for 4 years in the 1980’s. I taught SAT Prep courses in the 1990’s and was an instructor at the Glenmont Job Corps Academy for three months in 2011. I worked as a Student Support Specialist for Tutors with Computers – Read and Succeed in 2011-2012, working with students in their homes in the unique reading program.
I now tutor English, ESL, reading, writing, and Math, and help students prepare for the SAT, ACT, GRE and TEAS exams. I have made progress with students who were doing poorly in English and Math. It doesn’t take me long to make them feel more confident and raise their grades. And SAT students can learn strategies for selecting the right answers to improve their scores.
